This non-profit, founded by a friend of ours in Boston, MA, seeks to make education in Moshi accessible. Through providing education necessities including tuition, essential supplies, nutritional supplements and uniforms when possible, Project MEMA is actively aiding 3 classrooms in Moshi, Tanzania.
In the past 3 years, the organization has grown and was in need of a new website. 3PRIME took there existing content including 5 pages, an excellent logo and a Paypal donate button and rebuilt the website using the WordPress CMS. Take a look!
Instead of a finished website, this rebuild provides a strong platform for the organization to grow its online presence and continue to foster awareness and action.
3PRIME time and expertise is available for businesses new and old, large and small and non-profits of all sizes. One of our long-time clients demonstrates how consistent SEO earns great rankings for his school and church signs manufacturing business
3PRIME is taking action to provide a helping hand, by donating time, energy and resources. The website, HelpTheCaptain.com, is the brainchild of Amy Berube, whose cousin faces financial hardships following life-saving heart surgery. The website was created in an effort to collect donations that will be used to alleviate some of the financial burden from various medical expenses. HelpTheCaptain.com and its hosting has been donated by 3PRIME, LLC.
We’d like to urge visitors to Make a Donation. Many families struggle to make ends meet without the burden of medical expenses, so please lend a helping hand to Amy and her family. Visit HelpTheCaptain.com and give any amount you can, whether it’s one dollar or ten, every donation will help. Thank you!
Videos are somewhat of a recent phenomenon but anyone who’s a fan of them know that they’re really hard to stop playing once you get started. There are plenty of reasons for this, many are immersive and are the perfect escape from realty. Others feed off of people’s natural competitive nature with scoreboards and incentives like achievements, rewards and badges. The reason games are so appealing is rooted deep in human psychology and there has been a recent trend to take advantage of this called gamification.
The definition of Gamification taken from Wikipedia: the use of game design techniques and mechanics to solve problems and engage audiences. This is the idea behind Foldit. It’s a game which researchers have developed in order to enlist the help of gamers in deciphering the structure of a key protein in the development AIDS. It’s a structure which scientists haven’t been able to identify for years but now have thanks to the online game Foldit. And it only took gamers three weeks to come up with the answer. This is a great story of games being used to solve real world problems and you can read more about Foldit here.
I’ve written to Vipre’s forum about this but have received no response. I’d like to know how they determine if a site is potentially dangerous.
And what brought me there? None other than the initial privacy-related email from Verizon. It’s all about my Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) and whether they can share it with their family of companies. Of course if trends continue, that family of companies might include content creators like Fox, so I’m going to opt-out.
No problem, click the button, right?
And now I have to disable my firewall to protect my privacy. I hope this doesn’t signal the fashion of the rest of the week!
Here’s one stat I quite like: The world produces between 1 and 2 exabytes of unique information per year. Just to put things in perspective, let’s dust off our old analogy skills from SAT prep: an exabyte is to a gigabyte, as the population of India is to you.
Catching up with news this morning, I was pleasantly surprised by news that CIA, after 4 years of what I assume was painstaking intelligence work, tracked Osama Bin Laden to his home of at least the past 6 years. While I’d love to have heard that he was captured, the news that he was killed, removing his visage from the Most Wanted list (once they update their website), this is good news.
To read more, i found the following resources to be the most informative. I’ll be streaming NPR.org as long as they focus the news on this.
I close by offering my heartfelt support to those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. This week will undoubtedly raise emotions not pondered in some years and our thoughts are with them today.
Malloy is out to get what Florida left on the table… good for him! I’m all for reducing the deficit but this type of infrastructure is worthwhile spending on hard assets that will help to build Connecticut’s transportation future!

One such page was one for Eagle Rivet, one of our ct web design clients. One of the phrases we built in was ct roof snow removal, and they couldn’t be happier with the seasonal jobs they’ve gotten to pick up as a result!
Don’t over look this for your business! Here’s why:
