Technote: Chocolately NuGet and Windows PowerShell

As a means of standardizing platform packages that mirrors a *Nix look/feel while still supporting a windows desktop experience, we are happy to have discovered the delicious Chocolately NuGet!. We are beginning to integrate this package management system in small doses, but so far we are very happy with it.

It uses the Windows PowerShell to drive the command-line-to-gui (un)install/update workflow process.

If you aren’t familiar with PowerShell, check it out here: Windows PowerShell – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Even without using Chocolately in anyway, it behooves every windows system admin to get accustomed to PowerShell capabilities.
