A new client of ours had wanted to switch from their hosting company for a while now but had been hesitant to do so because of how abrasive the company had been with her. With help from 3PRIME they were (finally) able to make the switch, but not without receiving a few parting shots from their old hosting company, which we will call DisgruntledHosts.com. The following is an unaltered correspondence between Doug S. of DisgruntledHosts.com and our client.
What they do is not easy. And what they do is strong arm and threaten their clients. It takes a certain level of depravity and immaturity not found in most businesses, but they’re just that dedicated. This was in direct response to our client asking to be released from their hosting service:

Nancy or Scott, as you know we have been hosting your website for years and doing a great job what we do is not easy and don’t let anyone tell you different we have been getting called by a Ryan Turner to move your site to a different server. DisgruntledHosts.com has the most secure servers out there with the highest level of security allowed. ASA secured. What appears to be simple is not if it is not broke don’t fix it. I think Ryan is going to ride our coat tails it won’t work. All 9000 back links will go away and that will effect your Google rankings right away. If you hire a link farm which will be your only option you WILL attract porno sites and Google will band your website. The risk you are about to take will take a toll on your business. The main factor is we spend $50.000.00 a month on research for the search engines you will not do that and I am sure you are not aware of the Google change as of oct 28th which is affecting over 50% of all web sites out there. We had to adjust over 9000 clients to maintain rankings. The bottom line is someone told you the mistruth and will hurt your site and rankings. This e-mail which I need back before I will release your website to anyone is for liability purposes to verify that DisgruntledHosts.com will no longer be liable for your website performance and or rankings in the search engines. You are authorizing the site to be moved if it does not work we are not responsible as in the past people have moved there sites they dropped rankings in Google and tried to come after us for loss of income. Please respond to this and I will release your site with my best wishes when your business drops off someone else will write you a check for the loss. After you realize the mistake you are making you can always return to DisgruntledHosts.com the cost would be somewhere around $7500.00 per year. At this point we are going to pursue another company in your area (a competitor) to promote to Google if we sign a competitor we could not take your company back as we don’t promote direct competitors.

This guy is getting too old for this Sh*t. And by sh*t we mean responding to clients in a mature and professional manner. But on the other hand, he is just the right age to respond to clients like a 10 year old bully. Note the proper use of caps to really hammer home his point.
